An Iranian expert in “Islamic medicine”, Mehdi Sabili, has urged Iranians to drink camel urine, claiming it can cure lung diseases, asthma, and even coronavirus, according to Al-Arabiya, which posted a video of the man, which went viral recently on Instagram,. Sabili is not just some nobody; he is the head of the “scientific-educational association of Imam Sadegh’s medicine” in Iran and has 60,000 Instagram followers.
The Mideast Beast caught up with Sabili on Zoom.
“It is a 100 percent natural cure,” said Sabili, “No additives, completely organic, inshallah. To get the full effect it is important to drink it in its initial hot temperature, preferably three times a day for three days. It even protects against air pollution and has precious antioxidant qualities.”
Environmentalist celebrities, among them Gwyneth Paltrow and Tom Hanks raved about the radical cure on social media, using hashtags #camelurine, #Loveit and #onecureonelove.
“I almost wish I hadn’t already recovered from Covid-19” wrote Hanks, “or I would be testing this cure straight away #camelurine”.
“I immediately put it in my broccoli-kale-beetroot smoothie”, gushed Paltrow, “and I have been using it both internally and externally to detox my body. #LoveIt, #Camelurine #onecureonelove”.
WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told The Mideast Beast that Sabili’s cure sounded “promising”:
“We are an inclusive organization and that means that any cure that claims it can treat Covid-19 is accepted by us. We especially like the fact that it is all natural and easily accessible, as long as you can get your hands on a camel. We will start testing the urine’s effects on terminal Covid-19 patients straight away”.
